WORKING WITH CMR IMPROVEMENTS
From a single vanity swap to a full gut and retile. Learn more about Bathroom Renovations.
In the Beginning
Chris Hill spent ten years working for the City of Garland before he decided to try something else. He took a leap of faith and started out painting, on his own.
In 2021, he moved his family to Caddo Mills, hoping for a fresh start and some room to breathe. He started CMR Improvements from his own home. His first big job was a full kitchen remodel nearly five years ago.
The name is personal: CMR stands for Cheyenne, Melody and Rylan, his kids. That’s who you’re actually hiring, a family business, not a call center that hands your job to whoever’s free. When you call CMR, you reach the people who run it.
CMR handles bathroom remodels, kitchen remodels, flooring and tile, full home remodels, and interior and exterior painting for homeowners in and around Caddo Mills. Bathroom and kitchen remodels are the crew’s biggest focus and the work CMR is proudest to show off.
CMR is fully insured. The crew also does roofing work when a customer needs it, though it isn’t something CMR actively promotes.

Improving Your Everyday
You’ll know what’s happening in your house every day the crew is in it. That’s the one thing CMR’s own customers bring up more than anything else: 17 of the 40 written reviews on CMR’s Google profile mention being kept in the loop, unprompted.
CMR is built around the fear new customers bring up most: a contractor who starts a job and disappears before it’s done. The answer is to tell you what’s happening before you have to ask.
The crew cleans up as they go, not just at the end. And if you’re not happy with the finished work, CMR comes back and fixes it. That’s the guarantee, and it’s held up in practice: one customer had the crew return to correct a minor flaw after the job was already marked complete. Warranty coverage runs up to a year, depending on the job.
