This policy explains what CMR Improvements LLC collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal filler. If anything here is unclear, call us and ask.
CMR Improvements LLC is a family-run remodeling company based in Caddo Mills, Texas. This website is operated by CMR Improvements LLC.
The only information you actively give us through this website is what you type into a contact or estimate form. Those forms ask for:
Our shorter quote form asks for less than this, and does not ask for an email address. Neither form asks for, and you should not send us, payment card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers, or any other sensitive personal information through this website. If a project reaches the point where something like that is needed, we will handle it directly and not through a web form.
We use this information to respond to you about your project, to prepare an estimate, and to keep in touch while work is underway. We do not use it for anything else.
We use what you give us to reply about your project. If you give us an email address we may reply by email; if you give us a phone number we may call you. Our shorter quote form collects a phone number only, so a reply to that one will come by phone.
If you send the detailed quote form with your email address, you will also get an automatic email confirming what you sent us.
Either way, we are contacting you about the project you asked us about. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not send promotional messages.
Some information is collected by the services this website runs on, whether or not you fill in a form.
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use this site. Clarity records how visitors move through pages, including mouse movement, scrolling, clicks, and which pages are visited in what order, and it assembles that into session replays and heatmaps. This helps us see where the site is confusing. Clarity may also collect your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, and approximate location based on IP.
We mention session recording specifically because it is the piece most policies leave out. You can read how Microsoft handles this data in the Microsoft Privacy Statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which decides whether a submission is coming from a person or an automated script. reCAPTCHA loads on every page of this site, not only pages with a form, and it collects hardware and software information and your interaction with the site in order to make that assessment. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We also use a hidden form field to catch automated submissions, which collects nothing about you.
This site is hosted by WP Engine. Like effectively every web host, their servers keep logs that include IP addresses, the pages requested, timestamps, and browser information. We also run Wordfence, a security plugin that monitors traffic and records IP addresses in order to block attacks on the site. These logs exist for security and reliability, and we do not use them to build any profile of you.
Two things on this site are served by other companies, and loading them means your browser contacts those companies directly:
Embedded content from another website behaves as though you had visited that website directly. Those companies may collect data about you, set their own cookies, and track your interaction with the embedded content, including linking it to an account if you are logged in with them.
This site sets a small number of cookies. They come from the page builder we use to lay the site out, from the contact form software, from reCAPTCHA, and from Microsoft Clarity. None of them are advertising cookies, and we do not run any advertising or retargeting pixel on this site.
We also set a few cookies of our own to learn how people find us. When you first visit, we note the date, the page you landed on, the site that sent you, and any campaign tags in the link (for example, that you came from a Google or Facebook ad). We keep that first-visit record for up to 400 days, and a record of the most recent ad or campaign link you used for up to 90 days. If you send us a form, that information goes with it so we know which of our advertising is working. It never leaves CMR Improvements except as part of your submission, as described below.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop the contact forms or the review display from working properly.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not trade it, rent it, or hand it to data brokers or lead-generation companies.
Form submissions are emailed to us and are also copied automatically into a private Google Sheet that we use to keep track of incoming projects. That means Google processes the information as our service provider. The software that does this copying may also keep a short technical record of when each form was sent and the IP address it came from.
The other companies named in this policy, namely Microsoft, Google, Trustindex, Wordfence, and WP Engine, receive only the automatically collected information described above, in the course of providing their service to us.
Beyond that, we share information only when we are legally required to, for example in response to a valid legal request, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
We keep project inquiries for as long as we may reasonably need them, which includes the period after a job is finished during which workmanship questions and warranty claims can come up. If you would like us to delete your inquiry, call or email us and we will remove it.
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. Call (214) 909-7422 or email cmrimprovements@gmail.com and we will take care of it. We will not charge you for this and we will not make it difficult.
Depending on where you live, you may have formal rights over your personal data under state law. We are happy to honor those requests regardless of whether a particular law requires us to.
This website is meant for adults arranging work on their homes. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us, and our website is served over an encrypted connection. No website or storage system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. This is also why our forms do not ask for financial or other sensitive details.
This site links to other websites, including our social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and this policy does not apply to them.
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes to how we use information you have already given us will not be applied retroactively without telling you.
